Idea for short film

Idea

Our group will be making a 90 second long film for the depict task that we have be set. The idea we have will focus on a person that gets bullied and is about their feelings and thoughts. 

A person is walking down the corridor and she thinks they are talking about her, but they are not. She gets upset and runs in the toilet. The person hears people talking but are not there and can’t be heard. She then turns back to look at the mirror. 

The place of shooting will be the toilets at college near cafeteria and these scenes are in black and white, but might have the blood in colour. This will make the scenes more lifeless to get the depression of the person across. We will use a poem that we will write that will tie in with the short film. The person is depressed due to being bullied at college and social media as well as being ignored by everyone else.

May also use a sad sounding song in the background to make a depressing mood.

Scene 1

Person is walking down the corridor and she thinks the people are talking about her, but they are not, then she gets paranoid.

Scene 2

When she walks past them, she gives a glare. (Looking at one another).

Scene 3

The person runs into the toilets for isolation.  

Scene 4

She look in the mirror, disjointed. 

Scene 5

She sees her reflect but as a bully, calls her horrible names. It is how she sees herself.

Scene 6

She is so depressed, she ends up cutting herself.

Scene 7

Zoom in on the blood that has dropped in the sink. Then a poem starts to play alongside the film. Writes words on mirror with lipstick that is also in the poem.

Scene 8

She sees her reflection in the mirror and writes words that she thinks she is.

Scene 9

It shows a close up shot of her all upset and crying.

Scene 10

She then leans her back against the wall to curl up while still crying.

Scene 11

Then cuts to a close up shot of her crying more and her hands covering her face still against the wall.

The actors that will be used are actors that have free periods during recording time. We are going to using make up for the cut when the person cuts herself in the film and will need a fake knife to pretend that she has been cut and need lipstick to write words on the mirror. We are also going to be using fake blood to drop in the sink for a more realistic effect.

We are still thinking about some of these scenes and how they plan out, so the idea of how each scene, may change as time goes on in the production so not all scenes labelled here may be the exact same, but will still have similarities between the story lines.
